It's a cliché... I know. If we are lucky enough to celebrate that milestone, the BIG FIVE-OH society tells us to go big or go home. I fell for it, yes I did and I am not ashamed to let the whole world know that I will be 50 in February 2023, I will celebrate this blessing by climbing the highest mountain in Africa and I will raise money for charity doing it.
A part of me is proud I have kept myself alive and in relatively good health. Another part of me a cringing - why? Because marking this particular milestone in this particular way is so... well... typical. I wish I was more creative, or had the time to do something completely unique, however, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro has been on my bucket list since New Year's Day 2007. I spent that New Years with my son's father in Masai Mara, on our honeymoon. At midnight the mountain was illuminated by the moon and it was magical. I promised myself I would be back.
So come along with me on this year of preparation as I document my physical, mental, and spiritual journey. I will climb Kili from December 26 2022 to Jan 2 2023, summiting on National Inspiration and Motivation day. I hope that this blog inspires you to do something different and scary and momentous.

why are you using our business name. This is not good for business. You could have chosen another name. We started this business earlier before you designed this website. You could have researched and avoided a lot of confusion you have caused. Please change this name
Philippa! I wish you all the best and healthy travel up the mountain 🏔️! My husband climbed it in February of 2008... It will be an experience you will never forget! You go girlfriend!
